Q: When did you first hear about CrossFit and how did you get started?


My CrossFit journey started in 2009 at CrossFit Religion now called CrossFit Dragon City. We trained on a dojo mat with no shoes doing our classic CrossFit movements. 


Q: Why did you stick with it?


It is fun and challenging. I am never bored, the adrenaline and variety of the workouts is so exciting. It makes me happy, strong and keeps me going physically and mentally. 


Q: What do you enjoy most about Bell City CrossFit?


How supportive everyone is. The coaches are amazing. I could be stuck on a movement that needs work over and over again. The patience and attention to detail coaching these movements shows how much the coaches care.  The programming is on point. A very clean and organized gym. I love it.  I feel comfortable in this space. My Zen.


Q: Most and least favorite lift?


Like thrusters

Q. What do you train for?


To be a strong mom for my babies. I want to teach my kids you can do anything and how important it is to take care of yourself. I train for my mental focus and strength. I want my daughter to know that girls can be strong. My son to never give up.


Q: What is your greatest CrossFit success story?


Stringing some pull ups together. Finally!!!


Q: What do you do for work?


Healthcare. Medical Assistant at a community health center providing access to world class care and services to uninsured and under-insured populations.


Q: What do you do for fun with you’re not at the gym?


Working on the garden veggies and flowers. Spending time with my husband exploring new ideas for the house. Playing with the kids running up and down the driveway the fastest wins. I recently got roller skates for my daughter and myself. Wish us luck.


Q: What advice would you give to someone interested in CrossFit, but not sure it’s the right fit for them?

The workout can be for anyone. The design of the workouts are so creative giving the opportunity for anyone to be part of the movement, tailored to the unique self.

Q: Favorite breakfast meal?


Plain pancakes with syrup. Nothing fancy on them.

Memorial Day - May 31, 2021 - MURPH

All regularly scheduled classes are cancelled on Monday, May 31st for Memorial Day.  We will be running classes at 7:30am, 9:00am and 10:30am with 15 max participants in each class.  There will be overflow space outside for those who are waitlisted.


Heats have been added to our schedule in Zen Planner, and you may now register for a class time to secure your spot.
