Test Week & Crush Week: What to Expect
This week marks the culmination of our 8-week training cycle and the start of “Test Week”. Over the next 5 days, we’ll be testing some strength numbers to mark your progress and to benchmark where you are at this point in time.
You can expect the following:
Monday: 1-RM or 3-RM Back Squat
Tuesday: 1-RM Snatch
Wednesday: Gymnastics Strength & Skills
Thursday: 5-RM Push Press
Friday: 1-RM Clean
During test week, there will be a WOD programmed each day, but the primary intention is keeping you fresh to hit your strength numbers; assist in recovery and keep you dialed into your movement. Don’t worry about how quickly you’re moving during the WODs; rather move with intention and focus on quality movement.
Follow test week, we enter “Crush Week”. Another full week of testing, but this week is focused on conditioning and skill rather than pure strength. You can expect workouts across various time domains utilizing the skills we’ve been focused on developing this cycle.
After crush week we enter our 8-week summer training cycle...think summer physique, bench press, abs...biceps?? More details coming soon!
